Scintillation Crystals

   Scintillation Crystals are used to detect the energy and intensity level of gamma ray. The crystals can be used in various applications such as the safety inspection equipments and oil exploration equipments where gamma ray detection is required.

    HQTek owns a factory in Beijing China to grow our NaI and CsI crystals. We provided the crystal assemblies to many satisfied customers in China and United States.

 

Crystal Assemblies

    The crystal is mounted in a metal housing with an optical window. The window side of the assembly is coupled to a photomultiplier tube (PMT) by optical medium. The PMT is connected to a voltage divider or the PMT has a built-in voltage divider. In some applications, the assemblies required to work normally in ruggedized and high temperature environments.

    HQTek provides the crystal assemblies in standard and ruggedized version. We also provide the assemblies with and without the PMT. The PMT may have outside or built-in voltage divider.

    HQTek provides the options of aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium for the assembly housing metal. Titanium housing is usually used for the ruggedized assembly. The optical window can be either glass or sapphire. The sapphire is used for the ruggedized assembly.

   HQTek can meet the special requirements for the crystal assembly housing dimensions and connections in either metric or English unit without any extra cost. The second picture shown below is an assembly with a special connector on one side of the housing.

 

Scintillation Detectors

    HQTek provides complete solutions for the scintillation detectors. We provide customer designed PMT high voltage power pupply, dynode divider, and total assemblies of the detectors. The third picture shown below is the illustration of a scintillation detector assembly. With the scintillation detector assemblies, your gamma ray applications can be simplified to connect a few lines.

    HQTek provides ruggedized designs for the detector assemblies. The ruggedized assemblies can be used for very tough environments. NaI or CsI crystals can be sealed together with the PMT to improve the detector resolutions. Cockroft-Walton style multiplier was used in our dynode dividers to reduce the detector power assumption.
